About

Teesside Yesteryear Motor Club (TYMC) was formed in 1966 for all who are interested in, using and maintaining vintage, veteran and classic modes of transport – cars, motorcycles, commercial and agricultural. The club currently has a membership of about 300. Ownership of such a vehicle is not a requirement to becoming a member. It is probably the most active club in the North East, organising events and activities and providing general information throughout the year.
Our activities are wide and varied to cater for all interests in the club. We organise premier events such as the Eskdale Road Safety Trial and the Durham Dales Classic Motorcycle Run, have weekend runs, often incorporating a visit to a place of interest and short evening runs with a social meeting at the end. We also take part in static events, often in conjunction with a charitable organisation.
The club meets on the first Monday of every month at the Stockton Cricket Club, 52A Oxbridge Avenue, TS21 2BY.
A newsletter is published each month and posted to members to arrive a few days before the club meeting. The newsletter provides event information, news about matters affecting the classic vehicle movement and articles by members.
The TYMC is affiliated to the DVLA and it is also a member of the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs (FBHVC).
